There is a book of remembrance / condolence in the waiting room for anyone wishing to leave messages or memories about Dr Mark Howard.

We also have a collection box behind the reception desk for anyone that wishes to make a donation in his memory. Dr Howard’s family have requested that any donations be split equally between the British Heart Foundation and The Scout Association.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences and kind words.

Thank you.

STATEMENT FROM WELTON FAMILY HEALTH CENTRE

We are extremely sad and shocked to announce that Doctor Mark Howard, who worked as senior partner at Welton Family Health Centre, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday 22nd February 2018.

Dr Howard had been a GP at Welton Family Health Centre for seventeen years. He was dedicated to the practice and patients and was instrumental in the development of the practice and local federation, striving for the best possible care for patients.

Dr Howard was a wonderful colleague and friend with an infectious laugh and a kind word for everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by us all and our sincere thoughts and condolences are with his family at this sad time.

It would be appreciated if media respected the privacy of Dr Howard’s family and colleagues. Any questions should be directed to Mark Williams, Communication Manager at NHS Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group on 07973 976739.

Welcome to Welton Family Health Centre

We are a three partner practice based in Welton covering an area of approx 135 square miles. We offer on site dispensing services to all patients who live more than one mile from a chemist’s shop. We work as a partnership and patients may consult any of the doctors in the practice. We also employ the services of additional doctors as needed to maintain adequate medical cover. We offer a full range of services including child health, maternity services, minor surgery, disease management clinics, travel health and family planning.

We work with a team of qualified staff who help us to provide a wide range of services. All partners regularly attend postgraduate refresher courses and are keen to keep abreast of current developments in medicine. We are committed to the training and development of all staff and regularly hold training sessions.

Our main surgery site was extended in 1998 to offer improved facilities and comfortable surroundings. Parking facilities exist to the front left hand side of the surgery and we have suitable access for disabled patients & visitors. We are part of Lincolnshire West CCG and have representation on various committees and subgroups associated with this.

Our Aim Is To....

“Maintain and improve the health of people who live locally, providing high quality health care services which are flexible and responsive to their assessed needs, in a friendly, professional and efficient manner, working with a team approach”

Training Practice - In May 2010 we were pleased to pass our assessment for the Practice to become a training practice, with Dr Barber as a qualified GP Registrar trainer.  GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors who hope to pursue a career in General Practice and as part of this need to gain experience in a surgery.
